“Life Is A Highway (29)” was started as a place to chronicle the observations and experiences of life in the Napa Valley. The author and his wife, Laurie, moved to Napa in May of 2011 after discussing the possibility for two years. With the kids all on their own, and with technology making telecommuting possible, we decided to move to a place we truly wanted to live, as opposed to a place that was halfway between where we both worked. Napa to us is a lifestyle; a place where nature, science and creativity combine to make magic. Our goal is to not only enjoy the magic that others create, but to make some of our own. So with all that said, this blog will serve as a collection of mini-essays on this new life in Napa. Some of the entries will be personal, but many will be more “experiential”: restaurants, wineries, and other places we have visited which readers may enjoy learning about. I welcome feedback and hope you will share with others when appropriate. We hope you enjoy the experience with us.
